Present Perfect Continuous

I/They/We/You + have + been + verb ING

He/She/It + has + been + verb ING

Remember: When making and ING verb:

1) Drop the “E”:     Make = Making

2) If a word has one short vowel, and ends in one consonant, DOUBLE it!!! :     Hug = hugging

but: pick = picking (do not double if there are 2 consonants at the end!!!)

1)    Hate is a verb. Hate means you dislike something a lot. (I hate homework!)

2)    Exciting is an adjective. Exciting means something is really cool and fun.

3)    Starve is a verb. Starve means to not eat food for a long time and be very hungry.

4)    Hungry is an adjective. Hungry means to want to eat food.

5)    Sell is a verb. Sell means to get money for something. (Jawwal sells cell phones).

6)    Plant is a verb. Plant means to put something in the ground so it will grow.

7)    Huge is an adjective. Huge means very very big!

8)    Giant is an adjective. Giant means very very big! Giant can also be a noun. It means a very big man.

9)    Amazing is an adjective. Amazing means very great and wonderful!

10)           Character is a noun. A character is a person in a story or drama.
